DC Trippin'

First Track on the DC Trippin' Mix - Beverly Hills Cop Theme

Wowza, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. Last weekend Riles and Tal took a fun little trip to DC. It was amaazazing. I’m always happily surprised at how much fun I have with my siblings. We just laugh and laugh and laugh … It doesn’t really matter what we’re doing.

We visited a bunch of museums/memorials, went paddle boating on the river (which I am thankful I got pressured into), traveled up to Baltimore for an Orioles game, got to see the musical 1776, and JUST ATE OUR LIVES AWAY. They might currently be clogging one of my arteries, but Shake Shack cheese fries are worth it.

Starting the trip off by going to the Washington DC Temple: Good idea

Warmin’ Sissy up at Pizza Paradiso in Georgetown. At this point the famous Curran Deadpan was in full effect.

Showing off the nails

Pretty cool shot from Lincoln Memorial

This is as close as he could get to putting on Scarecrow’s hat….

I would say it's a fairly decent imitation.

The famous ruby slippers in the Museum of American History

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing … where they print the CASH MONEY. It was right at our fingertips.

Parkin it for some rest after doing a LOT of walking.

The Curran’s with their sleeping babies.

Tony would be so proud

Look at them appeasing me with those FAKE smiles.

Baby Lucas working the crowd

Hanging out at the MKLJ Memorial

This is them distracting the Library of Congress guard’s right before they stole the President’s secret book.

Welcome to Camden Yards baby

Nice Riles

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

We visited Mount Vernon, which MIGHT have been the coolest thing we did. Why, you might ask? BECAUSE WE WENT ON THE NATIONAL TREASURE TOUR. We got a special tour of the basement of Mount Vernon (Where Nicolas Cage kidnapped the President) and we had a special tour guide who took us to places on the grounds where they filmed.

Quote of the Day: “I had a friend who was an extra in the movie, and she said that Nicolas Cage was even more handsome in person.”  -Betty the tour guide

And while we were there we decided that Devon is going to have her wedding reception there in the backyard. We’re all gonna chip in, Dev.

It rained during our whole tour … but we didn’t mind.

Many don’t know that Ford’s Theater shows actual plays and musicals. It’s currently showing the musical 1776. The three of us went and it was fantastic … and we sat about 20 feet away from President Lincoln’s box. Hey oh!

It's much more fun for Sissy to walk if there's a chance she'll get thrown into the air.

BACK TO VEGAS WE GO

This is what happens when you take a picture facing the beautiful sun of LAS VEGAS!

I took my second annual President's Day weekend trip down to Vegas, and the people that didn't make it last year, made it this year. Everyone needs to just starting putting this trip on their calendar ... Because you won't find more perfect weather than Vegas in February.

This was my THIRD trip to the Hoover Dam. Never gets old. Never.

The host couple ... you wouldn't know it, but she's 8 months pregnant!

Grant and Hal were at M and J's watching the bebes.

Okay, she does look a little prego here. Oh, and Wyatt and Jen came down too! So fun.

I guess gray was the color of the day.

This is what you get when you ask three children to pose for a picture.

Adorable

Where ya lookin' there Morg?

We should be in a temple magazine... doesn't this picture motivate you to go to the temple?

So artistic Mawa. Thanks for this one.

How are the people so well placed according to height? Good job Morg (surprised tone)

The Asian spotted this place on the strip in NO TIME.

SUCH. A. TOURIST.

The Chinese Gardens exhibit at the Bellagio.

.... Where the playas play ....

Can you spot Garbear?

Wyatt and Morg advertising for Scan ... ironically enough, Morgan is on the phone with Garrett Gee in this picture.

The Curran's. Nothing makes little Joshy smile like a graham cracker.

Best Friend Cousins

Everyone had their Mariner gear on ... even Sister Suzie.

Why am I so detached from the group? Awkward photo ... for me.

Granty and Hal swinging Camryn Annette

Palm tree at the Outlets? Just too enticing to pass up.

Geeks

Morg and I on the log ride in Primm. Heeeeyo!

Funniest thing said all weekend:
"I want one of these." -Camryn with a tampon (obviously thinking it's some type of candy)

No you don't sister ... you don't want one of those for a loooong time.

I also got to spend a little bit of time with the DC Curran's. Here's Sissy and Buster posing on the couch.

We also got to see the Jimmer Show at the Verizon Center with Ms. LaMay and the Glenn's. Holla!
